
Faisal Khosa, MD, MBA is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiology at Vancouver General Hospital, University of British Columbia. He is also the Head of Grants and International Collaboration at the UBC Emergency & Trauma Radiology program.
Dr. Khosa has been a faculty speaker at the Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, American Society of Emergency Radiology, Royal College in UK and The Arab Health Congress in UAE, and an invited speaker at universities all over the world. He is passionate about giving back through coaching and mentoring students and his mentoring has benefited students all over the world.
Dr. Khosa has completed extensive training in radiology, including a residency in Diagnostic Radiology in Ireland. He completed the IMG Alternate Pathway – Diagnostic Radiology Certification which included: clinical fellowships in Oncoradiology, Cardiovascular Imaging, Emergency Radiology, Body MRI and Neuroradiology at ‘Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Harvard Medical School’ in Boston. He also completed an MBA from Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
Dr. Khosa is the recipient of numerous philanthropic, mentoring and research awards, including the Vancouver Coastal Health – Healthcare Hero Award; Education & Mentoring Award by Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America; People First Leadership Award by Vancouver Coastal Health; Canadian Association of Radiology/Canadian Radiology Foundation Leadership Scholarship; American Roentgen Ray Society Scholarship; the One in One Hundred Mentoring Award and the Outstanding Young Investigator Award in USA. He received the Medal of Excellence (Tamgha-i-Imtiaz) from the government of Pakistan for his highest degree of service to the field of medicine by mentoring a generation of students and The College of Physicians and Surgeons Award for 15 years of “Outstanding Service to Medicine” in Pakistan. In addition, he has also received several service excellence awards including the “Outstanding Support Award” by Vancouver General Hospital Trauma Program.
